We are back from our Not So Scary Halloween Party in Disney World. We had a nice time and left just when the weather here started getting cold. We enjoyed our sun and 80's for a few days while we were there. We went with Ben's mom, sister, and nephew. Now I am scrambling to get our MN Halloween ready. Picking up a (warmer) halloween costume for my Russell who is now going as Sulley from Monster Inc. Adding extra layers to Vanellope's costume. Picking up treats for the trick or treaters. Calling it good.

Spa Party!

Officially done with birthdays for the year! We have a spa party for Tayah and a few of her friends on Saturday. The girls got pampered with manicures, pedicures, and chocolate facials. They had a great time.

7 year old

I'm going to have a 7 year old tomorrow! Remembering the years and love this spunky, wild, goofy, fearless (almost) 7 year old. Do you think I might have my hands full in a few years with those words that I used to describe her?

Taylor Swift

Tayah and I headed to see Taylor Swift last Saturday evening. It was an early 7th birthday present and we had so much fun!! We went for pizza before and Collin and Ben decided to join us and drive us so we didn't have to drive home late by ourselves and worry about parking. They had planned on wasting some time downtown while we were at the concert. On the way I suggested catching the 2nd half of the twins game while we were at the concert. Ben and Collin were able to get tickets so that is what they did and the timing worked out great. Twins game ended just before the concert. Collin had a blast and yelled "CHARGE" and did the wave and all. I think the pictures say it all on if Tayah had fun or not.

First Grader!!

I have a first grader!! Wow!! We are now to all day school, school lunches, and probably homework. Tayah was ready for school this morning. She even woke up before I needed to wake her and she is usually NOT a morning person. We will see how day 2 goes. She picked out her clothes. She decided on Hot lunch at school rather than Cold, which was the original plan.

Collin told me he wanted to go to school and he wanted to ride the bus and wear a backpack. He cried when he didn't get to get on the bus with Tayah this morning. Poor guy, but I'm not ready for that quite yet.

This weekend Tayah and I are celebrating her birthday a little bit early. We are staying in St. Paul at a hotel and going to see Taylor Swift on Saturday. Pics of that fun to come!!

Collin is THREE!!

Collin turned three on Friday. It seems so hard to believe. I had the day off on Friday and it just so happens to be the big Game Fair weekend in Ramsey. Ben was working so the kids and I headed there to see on the puppies. Watch the dogs do the dock jumping and obstacle course. Tayah and I also did some archery practice. When Ben was done with his work there we headed to dinner and then to see the Disney movie, Planes. It was a pretty good birthday day.

Now that Collin is three our big goal is to finish getting potty trained. We have been working on it for a while and he just hasn't been able to fully commit to the idea. Some days he does great and other days he wants nothing to do with it. I can't push it cause that just makes it worse but we will just keep trying. Wish us luck cause this mama is ready to be done!!

A Week at the Cabin

Well, we are back after spending a week at a cabin on Upper Whitefish Chain, near Pequot Lakes. It was 7 days of beautiful weather. Perfect Lake weather. Not one rainy day while we were there. Our week went a little like this, sleep in, boat to the island, swim, paddle board, tube, eat, campfire, fish, stay up late, REPEAT!! We also went mini golfing in Brainerd. We went and saw Despicable Me 2, we had some friends come and stay with us for a couple days. We had a great week!
