Happy Valentines Day!!

Hope everyone had a very special Valentines Day!! Ben and I spent Friday night on our Valentines date. We went to see the movie True Grit and out to dinner. We had been craving a Juicy Lucy (thanks to the Travel channel and Man vs. Food) Seriously...don't watch that show if you are trying to diet. So burger and a movie is what we did, very romantic. Ben took Tayah ice fishing on Sunday. He was worried she would get bored of it really quick and they would have to leave, well..quite the opposite. She loved it and couldn't drag her home. She caught 2 fish and we ate them for our Valentines dinner.

Also, for Valentine's day, Ben and I started our workout program. Ben has been wanting to do P90x for sometime. 6 days a week, 90 minutes, 90 days and you come out buff. Well, some how I got dragged into this too and I am giving it a try. Yesterday was day 1 for both of us and I have to admit I am slightly sore today. I'm slightly improvising a bit and doing 5 days a week, 60 minutes, 90 days. We will see what happens. We are hoping for beach bods by June so we can do a little get away for Ben's 30th birthday. I'm not looking to lose much weight, maybe 5 lbs, but I am hoping to gain some muscle. We shall see. Day 2- I'm ready for you.

Six Month Pics

So, I have a husband with a photography hobby which comes in handy when you have kids. I had him take some 6 months photos of the little guy and here are a few of my favs. Thought I would share!

Missing our friend Ella

Our dear friend Ella has officially moved to Iowa. We have been talking about it for weeks now and yesterday was Ella's last day. It is hard because Ella has been such a close friend to Tayah. They are the same age and have seen eachother almost everyday for the last 2 1/2 years. The good-bye was sooooo hard. It may have even been slightly harder for myself and Ella's mom and dad. I know tears were shed by myself and them. Even Tayah got a little teary after Ella left last night. I think she finally was starting to understand that Ella was not going to be back. We promise to keep in touch and we have decided to be pen pal buddies with her and send eachother fun letters and pictures in the mail. So, until we meet again!! We miss you Ella.

6 Months Old

Collin turned 6 months old yesterday. I can hardly believe it. And I know I say it all the time, but it really does go by so fast. He had a 6 month checkup yesterday followed by some more shots. Good new, No shots at 9 month checkup.

Here are his stats:

Height: 27 inches (50-75%)
Weight: 16lbs 3oz. (25-50%) (up almost 3lbs from his 4 month checkup)
Head: 18 inches (90%)

For my Husband

I'll say this again, I AM NOT CLAIMING TO BE A PACKERS FAN (I have too many family members who are VIKINGS fans all the way. In fact they are slightly irritated by the fact that the Packers are in the superbowl). But my husband is a fan and always has been!! So, when the Packers made it to the Superbowl I got my kids decked in Packers gear.

Kid Stuff

Collin and Hayden had a play date over the weekend. They are now 5 1/2 month (Collin) and 6 months (Hayden). It is so fun to see babies interact with each other. They both just got excited and started talking to each other. Hayden kept her eye on Collin too. It was really cute.
